UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS
A chest heated flatwork ironer passes linen between a rotating padded roller and a heated, curved ironing chest. The chest is the surface beneath the roller that transfers heat to the textile.
Controlled movement and pressure help smooth the fabric while removing moisture. The result depends on temperature, contact time, fabric type and the moisture entering the machine.
INSIDE THE FINISHING PROCESS
Understand the machine before you choose a size. Confirm standard features and optional equipment with your selected configuration.

Non-slip feed belts guide linen towards the ironing zone. Careful presentation helps keep the process moving consistently.

A double-walled insulated cover helps limit heat loss. Heating performance and utility requirements are confirmed for the chosen model.

Variable speed lets the operator balance contact time with fabric and moisture conditions. The control package depends on the configuration.
Contact under pressure along the curved chest supports controlled heat transfer and finishing.
The drive arrangement avoids chains and V-belts for the roller, reducing associated transmission maintenance.
The roller lifting arrangement provides access to the chest for cleaning and maintenance.

FIND YOUR CONFIGURATION
Start with your largest linen dimensions, then assess production demand, utilities and workflow. Working width is the usable ironing width, not the machine’s overall width.

BUYER QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
It finishes flat linen between a rotating padded roller and a heated curved chest. Heat, pressure and controlled movement work together to smooth the fabric and remove moisture. It is also known as a chest ironer or trough ironer.
RONS offers 500, 600, 800 and 1200 mm roller diameters. The 500 and 600 mm options have 2.5 and 3.0 m working widths. The 800 and 1200 mm options have 2.5, 3.0 and 3.3 m working widths.
Output depends on the selected configuration, textile, incoming moisture, heating conditions, operating speed and feeding consistency. Share your linen mix and production target for a configuration-specific assessment.
At the same wrap angle, a larger roller provides a longer contact path. Actual throughput also depends on heating performance, moisture, fabric and feeding. Choose the complete configuration rather than diameter alone.
The required extraction and pre-drying process depends on the selected ironer and the moisture remaining in the linen. Confirm the recommended incoming moisture before planning your laundry workflow.
Ask RONS to confirm the heating configuration and its corresponding electrical, heating, ventilation and installation requirements in the model-specific quotation. Chest heated describes where heat is applied; it does not specify the energy source.
This range is intended for suitable flat linen such as sheets, tablecloths and napkins. Terry towels and shaped garments generally require different finishing processes. Always follow the textile care instructions.
Feeding, collection and folding arrangements should be planned with the complete laundry workflow. Equipment compatibility and control integration must be confirmed for the selected configuration.
